Liberia: GRANTS SPECIALIST, Liberia LEGIT

Tetra Tech ARD is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for Grants Specialist for an anticipated five-year USAID funded project in Liberia. The program, known as Local Empowerment for Government Inclusion and Transparency (LEGIT), seeks to increase accountability, transparency, and effectiveness of sub-national government resources in Liberia. The position will be full time and based in Liberia.

Responsibilities:

The Grants Specialist (GP) provides grant oversight and capacity building support for grants issued under USAID task orders. This includes supporting the project manager in review of grant awards for responsibility, determination, cost realism, regulatory compliance and risk analysis and mitigation. The Grants Management Specialist will be responsible for grantee compliance or the duration of the program. Provides regular updates on grantee compliance, risks and challenges that may arise and offers solutions accordingly. Maintains and manages records of grant agreements including paper and electronic files, an inventory of all agreements, and a schedule of dates and deadlines relevant to those agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, economics, finance or related field of study, Master’s degree preferred;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the management of grants and/or subcontracts funds (at least $1 million) supported by international donor organizations (preferably USAID-funded);
  • Experience designing grant procedures and manuals, training grantees on application/response procedures and compliance issues;
  • Experience at a management level ensuring compliance with USAID or USG grants and subcontracts regulations preferred;
  • Demonstrated experience in gender-responsive program management preferred;
  • Fluency in English required;
  • Liberian nationals strongly encouraged to apply.
